Vanessa Co-Founder & President Vanessa’s first love was a horse, and competing in three-day eventing (her favorite being the cross-country phase). She aspires to start riding and jumping horses again one day, but for now she settles for jumping through the hoops of purchasing and motherhood, both of which she truly loves.
Glenn / Chief Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer Having sailed from St. John to San Francisco in a 29-ft ketch without a motor somehow seems like the ideal preparation for co-founding a Purchasing firm. Combine those daily duties with fatherhood, and Chief has no shortage of problem solving and unexpected challenges to navigate these days.
Laurie Chief Executive Officer & Partner Passionate about Texas Country music, Laurie channels her childhood ballerina aspirations into a love of country dancing and a serious cowboy boot obsession. She’s a fiercely loyal friend and loves that Purchasing offers her opportunities for mentorship.
Jessica Controller After college, Jessica moved to NYC to try to break into the music business. A month in, her uncle said she couldn't sleep on his couch for free anymore and put her in touch with a friend who was hiring purchasing admins, and the rest is history. She was The Ness Group’s first hire, eventually working her way up to Controller.
Chantz Vice President, Development & Projects Chantz was born into the hospitality industry, so it may not be surprising that he collects hotel memorabilia and dreams of launching his own hotel brand one day. But did you know that he speaks at least a little bit of 10 languages?!
Shirley Senior Project Manager Shirley takes her fun and creativity very seriously. She has spent untold hours in pursuit of winning the company’s annual gingerbread house contest, including a gingerbread HD Expo complete with working lights that placed 2nd; finally, 2023’s Weird Barbie house garnered her the gold.
Jess Senior Project Manager Responding to a Craigslist ad for a Purchasing job has led directly to Jess Moore fulfilling her childhood dream of a happy life with a loving family: she met her future husband while spending six months on site at the Four Seasons Vail, and now is a proud baseball & football mom who loves her porch wine time.
Chris Senior Project Manager We can all count ourselves lucky that Chris Good Eagle decided to quite literally keep his head on his shoulders when he quit his reservation’s rodeo team. Now he gets his thrills in the garden, and traveling around the country attending Native events and celebrations.
Kim Senior Project Manager If you ever want to rescue a pet, Kim has connections everywhere - she even plans to become a therapy dog team once her pup Scout gets a bit older. She’s also a live music and true crime junkie, so it tracks that her favorite thing about purchasing is that there’s never a dull moment.
Bryan Senior Project Manager Everyone on our team is a rockstar, but Bryan’s the only one who can claim the title beyond the realm of purchasing - he toured with a rock band when he was younger, as a guitarist and vocalist. He may look and sound like a lion, but Bryan is truly a teddy bear who loves capitalizing on everyday challenges and team successes.
Annette Project Manager Annette has a passion for the ocean, whether on a boat or at the beach - she loves the tranquility and the opportunity to disconnect. Her most memorable project is even a cruise ship, Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas! Her interior design degree certainly comes in handy in navigating the range of FF&E goods, and she loves the relationships and camaraderie she gets to build in Purchasing.
Meridith Project Manager As a perfume connoisseur, there is no better way to compliment Meridith than to ask what scent she is wearing. If you’re not lucky enough to catch a whiff in person, you can still benefit from her passion for the problem solving aspect of purchasing.
Narisha Project Manager One way to Narisha’s heart is through her stomach - the spicier the better; this girl loves to cook. And the other way? The gentleman’s game, cricket. She’s a huge fan! She’s also big on family, and feels joy in satisfying clients' needs.
Erika Project Manager She wanted to be a veterinarian when she grew up and still aspires to open a dog rescue & daycare, but for now Erika channels her TLC through four rescue dogs and several hospitality projects, enjoying and embracing that every day is different.
William Project Manager Pickleball, plants, and painting are William’s primary passions, and pizza is his guilty pleasure - put it all together with a powerful preference for the problem solving prevalent in purchasing, and the alliteration writes itself.
Donna Office Manager Donna delights in attending concerts and planning amazing trips, and dreams of getting back to and exploring more of Southeast Asia - her two favorite trips of all time are Bali and Hong Kong. Her other pastime of organizing her home aligns nicely with her office manager duties!
Chace Bookkeeper An avid sports lover and Christian, Chace traded childhood NBA dreams for bookkeeping stardom. He still plays basketball as well as golf and fishing, and snag him for ping pong if you can - we’re pretty sure his self-described “slightly above average” status is just being modest.
